RESUMO

This mastership dissertation, in a qualitative approach, argues, through stories and immediate observations, the meanings and senses that the teachers attribute to the use of the documentary in the classroom. It also analyzes its pedagogical application as possibility to approximate, through an aesthetic experience, the school education to a praxis. For in such a way it investigates the intense familiarization of the spectator-pupil and of the spectator-teacher with the media culture, which (re)configures the ways to apprehend the world, to organize it and to express it, due to the crescent development of the Information and Communication Technologies. It chronicles the documentary concept and its connection with the formal education. It recognizes the narrow link between form and content in the film masterwork, examining the various forms of representation of the documentary as aesthetic construction about the concrete reality.
