RESUMO

Spectroscopic characterization of heterogeneous catalysts are investigated using both Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) and Photoacoustic (PAS) techniques. An ESR study of crystalline zeolitic chromosilicate and ironsilicate, as well its optical properties has been presented with the purpose of further characterization of the distribution of each Cr3+ and Fe3+ sites in the solids. In addition a deconvolution process is described whereby the ESR parameters could be analyzed. The optical absorption in the visible and near infrared region of silica-gel covalent bonded chelating molecules has been observed and interpreted in terms of ligand field theory
