RESUMO

This study had like objective to analyse the understanding of the population of Senhor do Bonfim, Pindobaçu, Antônio Gonçalves e Campo Formoso, in conection to environment in the Serra de Jacobina, with views to supply for the planning and carry of the ecological tourist associated to Environmental education in prospect of conservation. Three groups were choosen and divided in, a) Representative of residents? Association and Rural Producers, Trade Association and Chain hotel, b) Mayors; c) teaching Institutions, Environmental Offices and ONG. The collection of data was carried (full fill) for quantitative method, using the techniques: interviews and observation in loco. The analyses of the data cheked that in spite of the difficulties jaced with connection to economical development of the municipalities, state and federal investment in the construction of dams of big size and agricultural and programs may in the future to move the region?s economy that goes throught regions for a (process) of inertia. The activities carried out along of the Serra de Jacobina, like. Agricultural ativity (through of the forest fire and deforestation) has caused impacts that interfere in the environment of this region. The Environmental Education is an important instrument for the move as for the (problems) environmental problems and the necessity of conservation of the Serra de Jacobina. There is a consent bit or bit interviewees about the existence of ?potentials tourists? in the region., well like about the (existence of) ?association? unite of Environmental Education to tourism ecological in the action for the supported development. After of the research we can conclude that the tourism ecological associated to Environmental Education can come can become an economical alternative in search of sustainable of the region. Nevertheless, is necessary previous planning and set up criteria for that the tourism development doesn?t become an agent of degrading of this environment.
