RESUMO

The âFrente do Recifeâ is known inside the political and scholar champs as a alliance made in 1955 by some city parties, on account of the municipal elections, and that, during the political campaigns of that year, the alliance has reached successive victories on the contest for places inside the state and municipal public administration. Seemed as a left-winged alliance, proclaims the PCB and the PSB as the only political groups inside the Frente do Recife for the campaigns during 1955 and 1963. However, groups like PTB, UDN, PTN, and even the dissident wing of the PSD make a political colligation which, at different moments, was side by side with the PCB and the PSB. Along this paper, we aim to defend the thesis that the process of renegotiation of the parties participation in the Frente do Recife has brought a process of political reformulation, guiding us to a comprehension of specific configurations for each party alliance
