Absenteísmo no setor bancário: análise de um programa de intervenção

RESUMO

This study is aimed at to analyze a health program designed to decrease absenteeism from work due to disease, of employees of an institution of the service sector (a State bank). The study population was examined before and after the implantation of the program and two years after its implementation, design is case crossover of 438 subjects. Employees were selected based on the following criteria: been enrolled in the program and had at least two health evaluations. Before the intervention the proportion of absenteeism was 29,0% which declined to 25,0% in the last examination (1,2 %). Moreover, the most prevalent group of diseases related to absence from work was the ostheomuscular group, followed by respiratory one. The author considers these findings under the framework of the relevance of these programmes to achieve its maim aim of tackling absenteeism. The necessity of their systematic evaluation, of the program is emphasized to improve working conditions and employees well being.
