RESUMO

The work analyses the social production in two land retorm settlement: one of them in Rio Grande do Sul State and another in Goiás State. The author inventories the discursive network and the social practices which build up certain visibilities about the settled peasants and the settlement, investigating their speeches as strategic tools in the power relations which pervade these places. Taking the settlement influenced by the power relations and fights, this work investigates, particularty, the aetion of three social areas (the State, the Movement of Landless Rural Workers - MST and Pastoral Land Commission - CPT) which politically rule these places, working towards to frame them into specific form of organization and structures, and shape certain ways of thinking, acting and feeling of men and women who there tive
