RESUMO

The present study is about the process of editorial reform of the Rainha magazine, a publishing of the Pallotines priests (Catholic Apostolate Society) in Santa MariaRS - specifically during the management of Lauro Trevisan Priest (1961-1977). The objective is to analyze the impact of the reforms introduced by the editor, that change completely the magazine profile and increase its sales, leading it to entitle itself as the major magazine of the South of Brazil, as the transformations occurred along the period in Brazilian Press as well as in the Catholic Church. The first three chapters describe, respectively, the characterization of the magazine in the decades of 1950, 1960 e 1970, mentioning aspects related to the speech structure, to the production process and to the role of the context to the introduction of changes. The fourth chapter emphasizes the modifications implemented trying to outline a perception of the editorial look over the production and reception poles, in a transversal analysis that considers the trajectory under the approach of religiosity
