RESUMO

The present study is related to the research Pedagogical Practices and their relations with the teachers formation. It is aimed to investigate questions concerning to the process of alphabetization in the Children Education phase, more precisely, the teaching of reading and writing for children who are 5 and 6 years old. The focus of the research was the analysis of the conceptions of learning reading and writing and the relation among the theories studied in the initial formation with the practice developed by teachers who teach in the children education phase of a school which is part of the private teaching system of Campo Grande. Three teachers of pre-teaching level III were taken as reference in order to verify what is known and how it is taught to them, their way of thinking and acting. It is a qualitative research which delineates a case study. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews and questionnaires, as well as, from the observation of the teachers practices. The analyses of the data showed that the teachers oriented their students on a theoreticalconstructivistic basis, considering the children as active subjects in the learning process. The confrontation of the data obtained shows that the teachers present a conception of reading and writing learning as a constructive process. They point to a relation which is established between what the teachers learned in the initial formation about the alphabetization process and the practice in classroom during reading and writing teaching for children. Nevertheless, it is also evident that there is a fragmentation among the theoretical dimensions and the practice in the initial formation of the teacher.
