RESUMO

We study classically a system with three degrees of freedom, composed of two subsystems weakly coupled. The first, a chaotic system with two freedoms, works as a reservoir for the second, the system of interest. The effects of the chaotic dynamics on the system of interest renders the motion of the latter similar to the Brownian movement, which is dissipative. The linear response of the reservoir, a component of those effects, lies on its spectral density. An analytical investigation of the chaotic reservoir alone shows that the spectral density can be written in terms of a sum of Dirac delta functions on the frequencies of the periodic orbits, with distinct weights
