RESUMO

This dissertation approaches nominalized constructions that have the following form dar uma X-da(SP) which commonly occurs is very common in spontaneous speech in the Portuguese language of Brazil. This form is illustrated by the following phrases: Ela deu uma andada pelo shopping / Ele deu uma arrumada na gaveta / Ela deu uma conversada com a amiga. The theory of sociocognitive linguistics provided the necessary background to analyze the links of their motivational relation taking into account the network of constructions in which this form is inserted. This study suggests that the nominalized construction, which is the aim of this thesis, is motivated by its insertion into the great network of constructions with the verb dar and it is realized by means of intermediary connections that are provided by the basic construction of the Transfer Possession. The subject is characterized by a specific construction that turned into an expression of a nuance of aspectual signification, this it, a sentence that is uttered by the speaker in order to express duration
