1. Effects of argon plasma and aging on the mechanical properties and phase transformation of 3Y-TZP zirconia

2. MicroCT evaluation for CAD/CAM occlusal veneer fit using two materials and three cement space settings

3. Tuning the Photocatalytic Activity of Tin Oxide through Mechanical Surface Activation
Tin oxide (SnO2) nanoparticles were synthesized by the co-precipitation method and mechanically modified by high-energy ball milling. The experimental results demonstrate that the collision with zirconia balls produces slight changes in the crystalline, electronic, morphological, and surface properties of SnO2, which lead to an increase in the redox potentia

4. Analysis of Al2O3-ZrO2 ceramic insert in turning process of Ti-6Al-4V alloy using grey Taguchi-based response surface methodology (GT-RSM)
Abstract The present investigation aimed at a sustainable green turning operation of Ti-6Al-4V alloy using multi-objective optimization of surface roughness, tool flank wear, material removal rate, and tool wear loss with cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut as input parameters. The experiments were performed on a CNC lathe machine using an alumina-zir

5. Adsorption of Calcium(II), Cadmium(II) and Copper(II) Ions from Water by Prepared Silicon-Aluminum-Zirconium Oxide Using Sol-Gel Process
Ternary oxide silica-alumina-zirconia (SiO2/Al2O3/ZrO2) obtained by the sol-gel process was applied as novel adsorbent of ions in aqueous solution. Batch isotherms were performed using standard CuII, CdII and CaII solutions at variable pH and different concentrations. Adsorption capacity was best at weakly acidic pH. The maximum adsorption capacities were 2.

6. Sintering mechanisms of partially stabilized zirconia (TZ3Y) with ZnO and Co3O4 as sintering additives
Abstract In this work, the sintering mechanisms of 3 mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia (TZ3Y) and TZ3Y containing 0.3 wt% of ZnO or Co3O4 were analyzed by determining the apparent activation energy of sintering from dilatometry data and observing the evolution of microstructure. Dilatometry test was performed at a heating rate ranging from 5 to 20 °C/min from

7. Dolomite-zirconia reaction sintered bonded coarse magnesia ceramics: effect of the bonding proportion
Abstract Refractory ceramic materials were manufactured, mainly composed of magnesia grains (coarse and medium fraction) and CaZrO3/MgO as a binding phase produced from the reaction sintering between CaMg(CO3)2 (dolomite) and m-ZrO2 (monoclinic zirconia), which constituted the finer fraction. Different relationships between the proportion and the size of the

12. Thermal decomposition and reaction sintering for synthesis of mullite-zirconia composite using kaolin, γ-alumina and zirconia
Abstract The refractory materials used in the wall of the furnaces for glass melting can be prepared from mullite-zirconia composite material. The composite of mullite/zirconia was synthesized from Iraqi kaolin, γ-alumina, and zirconia using thermal decomposition with reaction sintering at 1600 °C. Several batches were prepared with various ratios of kaoli
