13. Increased Susceptibility of Neisseria gonorrhoea from a Rural Area
The in vitro susceptibility of 18 to 24 isolates of Neisseria gonorrhoea were tested against 12 different antimicrobial agents. These isolates represent all of the gonococcal organisms which had been isolated by the bacteriology laboratory of the Vermont State Department of Health from 1 March to 31 July 1972 and originated from patients cultured in Vermont.

The Regional Medical Library program of the Dana Medical Library (Burlington, Vermont) is described. Practical problems of a regional program are discussed. A plea is made for providing regional service, however little or much, without waiting for surveys and large grants.
