13. Synthesis, Antitumor Activity and Docking of 2,3-(Substituted)-1,4-Naphthoquinone Derivatives Containing Nitrogen, Oxygen and Sulfur
Eleven 2,3-(substituted)-1,4-naphthoquinone derivatives were synthesized in yields ranging from 52-89%. These derivatives were evaluated for their cytotoxic effects on human lungs (H460), triple-negative breast (MDA-MB-231) and ovarian (A2780) cancer cell lines. Compounds 5f and 8 showed IC50values of 3.048 × 10-5 mol L-1 and 4.24 × 10-6 mol L-1 for H460;

14. Protein Expression and Codon 72 Polymorphism of TP53 Gene in Triple Negative Breast Cancer
A subgroup of tumor that has received attention is triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), which presents phenotype of negative estrogen receptor, negative progesterone receptor and has no overexpression of HER2. TP53 acts as a tumor suppressor limiting the proliferation of damaged cells. A polymorphic site (rs1042522) of TP53 encodes either an arginine or a p

15. Basal cytokeratin as a potential marker of low risk of invasion in ductal carcinoma in situ
OBJECTIVES: Biological markers that predict the development of invasive breast cancer are needed to improve personalized therapy for patients diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ. We investigated the role of basal cytokeratin 5/6 in the risk of invasion in breast ductal carcinoma in situ. METHODS: We constructed tissue microarrays using 236 ductal carc

16. Clinicopathological significance of PTPN12 expression in human breast cancer
Protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 12 (PTPN12) is a recently identified tumor suppressor gene (TSG) that is frequently compromised in human triple-negative breast cancer. In the present study, we investigated the expression of PTPN12 protein by patients with breast cancer in a Chinese population and the relationship between PTPN12 expression leve

17. A expressão das claudinas 1, 3, 4, 7 e E-caderina em uma série de tumores de mama triplo-negativos
INTRODUCTION: Breast cancer is a major cause of morbidity and mortality, is known to be a heterogeneous disease. The clinical and molecular characterization of its subtypes is critical to guide the prognosis and treatment of these patients. Further studies are needed for the best characterization of triple-negative tumors. The study of the expression of clau

Paralelamente, o conhecimento

19. Evaluation of prognostic factors in stage IIA breast tumors and their correlation with mortality risk
Breast tumors exhibit extensive molecular and clinical heterogeneity. One of the most utilized breast carcinoma classifications is based on its molecular aspects and subdivides breast cancer into five major groups based on the expression of certain genes. In this study, we evaluated which factors are important in determining a prognosis after 5 years of foll

22. Triple-negative breast carcinomas are a heterogeneous entity that differs between young and old patients
OBJECTIVE: To compare the frequency and immunohistochemical profiles of triple-negative breast carcinomas in younger and older women. METHODS AND RESULTS: We selected patients diagnosed with triple-negative breast carcinomas. The groups examined were women who were 35 years old or younger between 1997 and 2007 (n = 74) and, for comparison, women who were 60

24. Avaliação hemostática e molecular em mulheres com câncer de mama receptor hormonal negativo
The breast cancer is the most common cause of death in women by malignant disease. The mechanisms related to recurrence are unclear, especially the hemostatic alterations that occur during the development of the disease and seem to be related to its aggressiveness. The study had as aim to assess in women with hormone negative receptor breast cancer, in a 24
