1. GENUS THREE CURVES IN CHARACTERISTIC TWO / CURVAS DE GENÊRO TRÊS EM CARACTERÍSTICA DOIS
We study the variety M3 of curves of genus three in characteristic two. For each of the curves we compute the possible number of Weierstrass points, their weights, normalizations of many loci in the moduli space, and so on. We also deal with the concept of a Galois point.

2. Appearance of T-cell Markers in Bone Marrow Rosette-Forming Cells after Incubation with Thymosin, a Thymic Hormone
After incubation with thymosin, a thymic hormone, normal bone marrow rosette-forming cells acquire T-cell characteristics, including increased sensitivity to azathioprine, anti-lymphocyte serum, and anti-theta serum. This activity of thymosin provides a new sensitive and reproducible bioassay for thymosin, and is well correlated with an in vivo graft-versus-

3. Distinct ligand preferences of Src homology 3 domains from Src, Yes, Abl, Cortactin, p53bp2, PLCgamma, Crk, and Grb2.
Src homology 3 (SH3) domains are conserved protein modules 50-70 amino acids long found in a variety of proteins with important roles in signal transduction. These domains have been shown to mediate protein-protein interactions by binding short proline-rich regions in ligand proteins. However, the ligand preferences of most SH3 domains and the role of these

4. Cytotoxic cells induced during lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus infection of mice: natural killer cell activity in cultured spleen leukocytes concomitant with T-cell-dependent immune interferon production.
The characteristics and specificities of spleen and peritoneal cytotoxic cells generated during lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) infection of C3H/St mice were examined. Activated natural killer (NK) cell activity was identified in fresh leukocyte populations from the 2nd to 8th days postinfection, whereas virus-specific cytotoxic T-cell activity was

5. Immune interferon induced by phytohemagglutinin in nude mouse spleen cells.
Phytohemagglutinin is able to trigger interferon synthesis in spleen cell cultures from nude (nu/nu) mice as effectively as in splenic cell cultures from haired, control (nu/+), thymus-bearing mice. A minor theta-bearing cell population present in the spleen of nude mice appears essential to phytohemagglutinin interferon production, although cooperating cell

6. Gap filling and not replication fork progression is the rate-limiting step in the replication of UV-damaged simian virus 40 DNA.
We have analyzed the structural characteristics of simian virus 40 replicative intermediate DNA produced after UV irradiation and the kinetics of conversion of this intermediate DNA into form I DNA. Replicative intermediate DNA isolated at 30 or 60 min after UV irradiation consists primarily of two species of molecules that sediment in neutral sucrose gradie

7. Cellular Changes in Lungs of Mice Infected with Influenza Virus: Characterization of the Cytotoxic Responses
Transpleural lavage of lungs from uninfected C3H mice yielded an average of 300,000 leukocytes per mouse. This number increased eightfold within 6 days after intranasal inoculation with virulent influenza A/Hong Kong/68 (H3N2) virus. Macrophages and lymphocytes in approximately equal numbers comprised 90% or more of the leukocytes both before and during infe
