1. HYBRID SYSTEM SIMULATION TO SUPPLY HEATED AIR TO A SOLAR FOOD DRYER
ABSTRACT The intermittence of solar radiation, due to continuous rainy or cloudy days, is a limitation of simple and small solar dryers. These conditions often make them impossible to use. By including storage systems (thermal accumulation) and/or auxiliary energy sources, drying processes or dehydration can be conducted continuously, even during periods of

2. Dielectric Behavior of α-Ag2WO4 and its Huge Dielectric Loss Tangent
The microwave-assisted hydrothermal method was used to obtain α-Ag2WO4. Rietveld refinement confirmed that α-Ag2WO4 is stable in the orthorhombic phase, without secondary phase. However, field-effect scanning electron microscope analysis showed that α-Ag2WO4 nanorods surfaces contain silver nanoparticles, confirmed by the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy

3. Superhydrophobic Copper Foam Supported Phase Change Composites with High Thermal Conductivity for Energy Storage
Superhydrophobic and superoleophilic oxidized copper foam (OCF) was prepared by oxidation of copper foam using (NH4)2S2O8 to generate rough surface then followed by modification with low surface energy substance polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and stearic acid (SA). Based on sperwetting, form-stable phase change materials (PCMs) composites were obtained by facil

4. EFFECT OF POLY (N- VINYPYRROLIDONE) ON THE NON-ISOTHERMAL CRYSTALLIZATION KINETICS AND VISCOELASTIC PROPERTIES OF PVDF FILMS
Abstract Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) and PVDF blends with various molecular weights of poly (N- vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) films were prepared in dimethyl formamide through the solution casting method. Non-isothermal melt crystallization studies of PVDF films were carried out by cooling the molten samples at different temperatures using differential scanni

5. ESTIMATIVA DE VIDA ÚTIL DO PBX (plastic-bonded explosive) COM ENVELHECIMENTO ACELERADO
This article aims to estimate the shelf life of the PBX by thermal analysis estimated by the Arrhenius equation, equivalent to the time of storage at accelerated aging. The PBX was subjected to accelerated aging in an oven at controlled temperature 60 ºC for periods of 5, 10, 15 and 25 weeks, which are equivalent to 5, 10, 15 and 25 of natural aging, respec

6. Early detection of metabolic and energy disorders by thermal time series stochastic complexity analysis
Maintenance of thermal homeostasis in rats fed a high-fat diet (HFD) is associated with changes in their thermal balance. The thermodynamic relationship between heat dissipation and energy storage is altered by the ingestion of high-energy diet content. Observation of thermal registers of core temperature behavior, in humans and rodents, permits identificati

7. Imobilização de α-galactosidase de Aspergillus niger em resina de troca iônica Duolite A-568
Immobilized enzymes provide many advantages when compared to the usage of their free forms. Among these ones, remarkable advantages are the possibility of the biocatalyst reusability, easy separation at the end of the process, its usage in continuous way and the enhancement of its stability. This work was performed aiming the immobilization of the α-gal

9. Nanocomposite of photocurable epoxy-acrylate resin and carbon nanotubes: dynamic-mechanical, thermal and tribological properties
In this study, the thermal, dynamic-mechanical and tribological behavior of nanocomposites of a photocurable epoxy-acrylate resin and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) are investigated. A route consisting of a combination of sonication, mechanical and magnetic stirring is used to disperse 0.25-0.75 wt. (%) MWCNT into the resin. Two photocuring cycles usin

10. Mg2FeH6-based nanocomposites with high capacity of hydrogen storage processed by reactive milling
The compound Mg2FeH6 was synthesized from a 2Mg-Fe mixture in a single process through high-energy ball milling under hydrogen atmosphere at room temperature. The complex hydride was prepared from Mg powder and granulated or powdered Fe using a planetary mill. The phase evolution during different milling times was performed by X-rays diffraction technique.
