Variability of Vernier acuity measurements in untrained subjects of different ages

The Vernier acuity of 50 normal untrained subjects (20 males and 30 females) was measured by the method of adjustment. Subjects were divided into five age ranges with 10 subjects in each age group: 5-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, and 41-50 years. All subjects had normal visual acuity (20/20) and volunteered to participate in the experiment.
