The advertisement call of the phytotelm-breeding Melanophryniscus xanthostomus (Anura: Bufonidae)

ABSTRACT Vocalizations are often useful for understanding taxonomic relationships among anuran species. Despite this usefulness, vocalizations are described in only nine of 29 in Melanophryniscus Gallardo, 1961.
