Long-term bond strength, degree of conversion and resistance to degradation of a HEMA-free model adhesive

Aim: To evaluate the long-term bond strength, degree of conversion and resistance to degradation in ethanol of HEMA-containing and HEMA-free model adhesive resins of a three-step etch-and-rinse adhesive system. Methods: The superficial dentin of 16 bovine incisor teeth was exposed, and the teeth were divided in two groups according to the HEMA concentration in the experimental adhesive (0% and 15%).
