An experience developed in the Polytechnic Superior Institute "José Antonio Echeverría", with the Automatic Engineering career students is shown. A project with an integrating characteristic subject was put into practice by the students, where they had to be able to face a task with elements studied in different subjects. According to the experience of previous years, the students do not see clearly the connections among the subjects considered.
