Abstract This article, from a qualitative methodology, describes and analyzes which are the fluctuations of emotional energy, in terms of Randall Collins, in situations of interaction that happen in salsa and bachata classes located in Buenos Aires City (Argentina). These classes are a place where cis heterosexual, adults, single and from middle-class women and men concur for erotic and/or affectively socialize.
