In this paper, a new type of metal roof-pond based on indirect evaporative cooling and including confined thermal mass is experimentally evaluated. Five passive cooling systems have been studied with this experimental device. Their characteristic temperatures are analyzed in order to determine the cooling potential in each case and the influence of the thermal mass on thermal performance.
