Abstract The scope of this paper was to ascertain the meaning of the term “nursing” among teaching nurses at Spanish universities. The research was qualitative, and the strategy used was analytical induction. Sampling was theoretical and focused on the selection of extreme cases and the data collection technique was in-depth interviews.
