ABSTRACT In this article, an analysis of the complex link between the 68 Movement and the armed struggle in Italy is carried out. To answer whether there was a clear link between the violence of the protest movements which arose in 1968 and the ensuing terrorist violence afterward, different theories have been examined by carrying out a comprehensive review of extensive literature.
