Abstract Background Cerebrovascular diseases (CVDs) are the second leading cause of death in Brazil. Objective This study aimed to describe the epidemiological profile and to analyze the spatiotemporal dynamics of mortality from cerebrovascular disease in the elderly in Alagoas from 2000-2016.
