OBJECTIVE: Lupus anticoagulant and anticardiolipin antibodies (aCL) have been associated with thrombosis, recurrent abortion, and thrombocytopenia in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), but their relationship with cardiac disease is less clear.
