Decreased respiratory performance of children and adolescents with myelomeningocele who use a wheelchair – preliminary data

Myelomeningocele (MMC) is a neural tube defect that often causes spinal cord injury at the thoracolumbar region, as well as sensory and motor paralysis in the lower limbs.
