Clinical features and laboratory findings of human parvovirus B19 in human immunodeficiency virus-infected patients

Immunocompromised patients may develop severe chronic anaemia when infected by human parvovirus B19 (B19V). However, this is not the case in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected patients with good adherence to highly active antiretroviral treatment (HAART).
