Analysis of dengue cases according to clinical severity, São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil

ABSTRACT Severe dengue cases have increased in Brazil since 2001, with the first records in Maranhão dating back to 2002. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of severe dengue cases by age group and the possible risk factors.
