13. High resolution stratigraphy and organic geochemistry of the Tremembé formation, tertiary of the Taubaté Basin, in the region of Taubaté-Tremembé-SP. / Estratigrafia de alta resolução e geoquímica orgânica da formação Tremembé, terciário da bacia de Taubaté, na região de Taubaté-Tremembé-SP.
This work is about the study of the high-resolution stratigraphy and organic geochemistry of the Tremembé Formation, in the Taubaté Sedimentary Basin-SP, of Cenozoic age. This work is based on the Total Organic Carbon contents (TOC), total sulphur contents and Insoluble Residue contents (IR), Rock-Eval pyrolysis data as well as the results of gamma rays sp

14. Fotocatálise heterogênea no polimento de efluentes sintéticos de curtume: alternativa para minimizar impactos ambientais
The industry is a section of the contemporary society with great pollutant potential of the environment, especially of the aquatic ecosystems. The tanning industries are big producing of dejections with significant amounts of organic matter and of chrome. The conventional processes of treatment applied those dejections, not always they possess good effective

15. The subcutaneous auto-transplantation ovaries and follicular depletion in domestic catas (felis catus) / Autotransplantação de ovário no subcutâneo e consumo folicular em gatas domésticas (felis catus)
The main goal of this study was to establish the follicular depletion of the remaining and implanted ovaries in the subcutaneous in domestics cats after 120 days, by quantification and morphometric classification, and with respect to the preservation of the tissue organization. Thirteen female domestic cats (Felis catus) were used, distributed into two group

16. Seismic interpretation of post-aptian magmatic events in the Cabo Frio high, Southeast Brazil, its genesis and its relation with pre-salt alignments / Interpretação sísmica dos eventos magmáticos pós-aptianos no alto de Cabo Frio, sudeste do Brasil, gênese e relação com os lineamentos pré-sal
The continental shelf of the Cabo Frio Area, at the southern part of the Campos Basin, shows unique features in its tectono-sedimentary evolution when compared to other areas of the Campos and Santos basins. The presence of a regular pattern of antithetic faults in the basement and in the syn-rift and the post-rift sedimentary sections, along with important

17. Outra leitura do "outro lado":o espaço da Zona Norte em questão
It analyzes the production of the space of the North Zone of Natal/RN, of the beginning of its formation - decade of 1970 - a present time, under the optics of the urban planning and of the administration of the territory. Inside of that path, it examines the interests that orientated the "creation" of the referred space, as support to the process of urban p

18. Modelagem e simulação tridimensional transiente do escoamento gas-solido
The three-dimensional (3-D) gas-solid model employed in this work presumes the inviscid behavior of the solid phase, commonly used as simplifier hypothesis in the problem solutions of the dilute gas-solid flow. It is intended in this work to apply and corroborate the 3-D, transient, inviscid model, for the horizontal and vertical partic1e conveying, by compa

20. Studies on the structure of isolated chromatin in three different solvents.
Properties of calf thymus chromatin, prepared by mild procedures, have been studied in various solvents. In 0.2 mM EDTA s-values ranged from 20 to 30 S and intrinsic viscosities from 5 to 24 dl/g. Dialysis against 0.15 M NaCl or 0.2 mM MgCl2 changed these values to 80 to 100 S and 0.2 to 5 dl/g, respectively, indicating an essentially more compact structure.

21. Evidence for tertiary structural RNA-RNA interactions within the protein S4 binding site at the 5'-end of 16S ribosomal RNA of Escherichia coli.+.
Evidence is presented for tertiary structural interaction(s) (interactions(s) between two regions of an RNA molecule that are widely separated in the RNA sequence) within the 5'-one third of the 16S ribosomal RNA of Escherichia coli that constitutes the binding site of protein S4. The two main interacting RNA regions were separated by about 120 nucleotides (

22. Clinical management of borderline tumours of the ovary: results of a multicentre survey of 323 clinics in Germany
The aim of this survey was to analyse the standard of care in diagnostic, surgery, chemotherapy and aftercare management for patients with borderline tumours of the ovary (BOTs) in Germany. A structured questionnaire comprising different dimensions was sent to all 1114 gynaecological departments. The questionnaire could be returned anonymously. The overall r

23. Description of two genera and species of late Eocene Anthropoidea from Egypt.
In 1987 and 1988 fossils of two previously unknown genera and species of Egyptian early Tertiary Anthropoidea were discovered in the Fayum Depression of Egypt. These are much older than all other Fayum, Oligocene primates and are believed to be Eocene in age. These genera, here named Catopithecus and Proteopithecus, come from a new Fayum site, L-41, and rese

24. RNAMotif, an RNA secondary structure definition and search algorithm
RNA molecules fold into characteristic secondary and tertiary structures that account for their diverse functional activities. Many of these RNA structures are assembled from a collection of RNA structural motifs. These basic building blocks are used repeatedly, and in various combinations, to form different RNA types and define their unique structural and f
