1. Comparison of two collection methods to determine protodioscin concentrations in Brachiaria spp. and to monitor Brachiaria spp. Poisoning
2. Programa de suplementação de luz e relações entre variáveis fisiológicas e termográficas de bezerros em aleitamento em clima quente / Program of supplementary light and the relationship between physiological and thermography variables of suckling calves in hot weather

4. Parâmetros produtivos e comportamentais de ovelhas e cordeiros submetidos à restrição energética
The objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of feeding energy levels during the last third of gestation and lactation on productive and behavioral parameters of ewes and its lambs. The experiment was carried out in the sheep raising sector at the Farm School of UEL from August to September of 2007. It was used 32 adult ewes with 105 days of gest

5. Resumption of postpartum ovarian activity of Bos indicus cows in the presence or not of the calf / Reinício da atividade ovariana pós-parto de vacas Bos indicus em presença ou não do terneiro

6. ORAL MOTOR-SENSORIAL STIMULATION AND THE NUTRITIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN PRE-TERM INFANTS / ESTIMULAÇÃO SENSÓRIO-MOTORA ORAL E O DESEMPENHO NUTRICIONAL DE RECÉM-NASCIDOS PRÉ-TERMO
The literature points to several studies in which the oral motor-sensory stimulation brings benefits to stimulated newborn child, like: more quick transition of the drip to oral way, winning of weight more quick too, early hospitalar discharge, increase of the force of suction, bigger consumption and transference of milk in relation to the time. The aim of t

7. Desempenho e desenvolvimento dos ÃrgÃos digestivos de cordeiros santa inÃs, alimentados com dietas contendo diferentes nÃveis de fibra / Performance and development of the digestive tract of Santa InÃs lambs fed with diets containing different levels of fiber.
This study was carried out at the Ovine Production Sector of the Federal University of Lavras-MG, to evaluate the effects of different levels of forage neutral detergent fiber on the consumption, digestibility, feed conversion, weight gain and development of the digestive tract of Santa InÃs lambs in four different development phases. The suckling phase (up

8. Efeitos tardios do tratamento neonatal com sertralina sobre a depressÃo experimental induzida em ratos Wistar
The present study investigated the corporal weight, the experimental induced depression by forced swim and the exploratory behavior of young adult rats, treated in the neonatal period with sertraline, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. According to the experiment treatment, two groups of suckling rats were distributed as follow way: A sertraline group

9. Effects of lead and/or zinc exposure during the second stage of rapid postnatal brain growth on delta-aminolevulinate dehydratase and negative geotaxis of suckling rats
Lead has been shown to produce cognitive and motor deficits in young rats that could be mediated, at least in part, by inhibition of the zinc-containing heme biosynthetic enzyme delta-aminolevulinate dehydratase (ALA-D). In the present study we investigated the effects of lead and/or zinc treatment during the second stage of rapid postnatal brain development

10. Requirement for the lpA1 lysophosphatidic acid receptor gene in normal suckling behavior
Although extracellular application of lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) has been extensively documented to produce a variety of cellular responses through a family of specific G protein-coupled receptors, the in vivo organismal role of LPA signaling remains largely unknown. The first identified LPA receptor gene, lpA1/vzg-1/edg-2, was previously shown to hav

11. Isolation of nonchemotactic mutants of Campylobacter jejuni and their colonization of the mouse intestinal tract.
Three nonchemotactic mutants (D54, Y14, and N74) of Campylobacter jejuni were isolated from wild-type strain FUM158432 by either the negative swarming or liquid gradient method with brucella broth as the attractive substance. Strains D54 and Y14 were isolated after mutagenesis with methyl methanesulfonate, and N74 was isolated from a nonmutagenized culture.

12. Possible pheromone-carrier function of two lipocalin proteins in the vomeronasal organ.
We report the molecular cloning and characterization of two secretory proteins specifically expressed in vomeronasal and posterior glands of the nasal septum, the ducts of which open into the lumen of the vomeronasal organ. These two proteins are members of the lipocalin superfamily, consisting of hydrophobic ligand carriers. We immunohistochemically localiz
