5. Triatominae (Hemiptera, Reduviidae) in the Pantanal region: association with Trypanosoma cruzi, different habitats and vertebrate hosts
ABSTRACTINTRODUCTION: The transmission cycle of Trypanosoma cruzi in the Brazilian Pantanal region has been studied during the last decade. Although considerable knowledge is available regarding the mammalian hosts infected by T. cruzi in this wetland, no studies have investigated its vectors in this region. This study aimed to investigate the presence of sy

7. Caracterizacion y analisis de la variabilidad genética de la granadilla (Passiflora ligularis juss.) en Colombia empleando marcadores microsatélites
Sweet passion fruit is the second economically important species of the genus Passiflora and Colombia is the largest producer in the world with 53,000 t/year. There are however, few studies on intraspecific diversity within the species that establish genetic relationships between individuals. The objective of this research was to explore the genetic variabil

8. Temporal variation in the composition of ant assemblages (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) on trees in the Pantanal floodplain, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil
Temporal variation in the composition of ant assemblages (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) on trees in the Pantanal floodplain, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. In this paper we investigate how seasonal flooding influences the composition of assemblages of ants foraging on trees in the Pantanal of Mato Grosso do Sul. During the flood in the Pantanal, a large area is cove

9. Estudo químico, análise do óleo essencial e avaliação das atividades antioxidante e antibacteriana do Marmelhinho [Cordiera sessilis (Vell.) Kuntze (Rubiaceae)]
In this work was carried out chemical analysis, identification of volatile components, the determination of antioxidant activity and antibacterial activity of wood, bark and leaves of Cordiera sessilis (Vell) Kuntze, known as marmelinho. This study is justified because the analysis of chemical species Cordiera sessilis (Vell) Kuntze had not been studied so f

10. Um sistema de ensino de projeto baseado no conhecimento : sistemas generativos e ontologias aplicados no ensino de arquitetura paisagística / Developing a knowledge based design education method : using generative systems and onthology to teach landscape design
The purpose of this research is to present a case based system to support students during the search for a solution to a landscape design problem. The system model is based on computational theories applied to design, such as Alexander s pattern language, shape grammar and parametric modeling. In the system, a design concept, also called pattern, can be repr
