2. Parametric resonance in dissipative field dynamics
The effects of bosonic trilinear interactions are investigated in the process of resonant particle production. We study a generic model of three fields with trilinear couplings. In this model a scalar field Φ can excite a heavy bosonic field χ which then decays into a light bosonic field σ. We study the consequences of dissipation and stochastic noise ter

3. Scalar resonance: A model for Kappa / Ressonâncias escalares: Um modelo para o Kappa

4. Investigating the tetraquark structure of the new mesons
Using the QCD sum rule approach we investigate the vertex associated with the decay D0(0+)-> D+pi-, where the scalar meson D0(0+) is considered as a four-quark state $(cd)(\bar{u}\bar{d})$. Although our results for the mass and partial decay width are smaller than the mass and the total decay width of the broad scalar meson D0*0(2308) reported by BELLE Colla

5. Nonlinear resonance in bouncing universes
The dynamics of closed LFRW universes with a massive inflaton field is examined where Friedmann equations are corrected by the introduction of a potential term arising from quantum gravity corrections to cosmological scenarios near the singularity. This extra term implements nonsingular bounces in the early evolution of the universe. For certain windows in t

6. Calculos de energias de ligação de camada interna pelo uso da teoria do funcional de densidade e suas aplicações / Density functional theory calculations of core-electron binding energies and applications
We calculated core-electron binding energies (CEBE) for 55 benzene and 161 phenol derivatives. Lindberg demonstrated that experimentally observed CEBE shifts (DCEBE) are linearly correlated to the Hammett substituent constants s. We investigated Lindberg s equation through the relationships between CEBEs calculated by the method of total energy difference DE

7. Hadronic physics in peripheral heavy Ion collisions
We discuss the production of hadronic resonances in very peripheral heavy ion collisions, where the ions collide with impact parameter larger than twice the nuclear radius and remain intact after the collision. We compare the resonance production through two-photon and double Pomeron exchange, showing that when we impose the condition for a peripheral intera

8. Frontiers of Inflationary Cosmology
After a brief review the theory of cosmological perturbations, I highlight some recent progress in the area of reheating in inflationary cosmology, focusing in particular on parametric amplification of super-Hubble cosmological fluctuations, and on the role of noise in the resonance dynamics (yielding a new proof of Anderson localization). I then discuss sev

9. Experimental evidence for a light and broad scalar resonance in D+-> pi-pi+pi+ decay
From a sample of 1240 ± 51 D+ ® pi- pi+ pi+ we find gamma(D+ -> pi- pi+ pi+)/gamma(D+ -> K- pi+ pi+) = 0:0329 ± 0:0015 . Using a coherent amplitude analysis to t the Dalitz plot of this decay, we find strong evidence that a scalar resonance of mass 483

10. 13C NMR quantitation of polymer in deoxyhemoglobin S gels.
13C/1H magnetic double-resonance spectroscopy has been used to quantitate the amount of polymerized hemoglobin S in deoxygenated gels at 30 degrees C, for samples whose hemoglobin concentration range from 21 to 32 g/dl. Scalar- and dipolar-decoupled spectra and a 13C proton-enhanced dipolar-decoupled spectrum were recorded for each sample as was a scalar-dec

11. Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy. A Stereospecific 3JCF Coupling in the Low-Temperature 13C Nmr Spectrum of 1,1-Difluorocyclohexane*
The proton-decoupled 13C nmr spectrum of 1,1-difluorocyclohexane has been examined at room temperature and at -90°C. There are only minor changes in the one-bond and two-bond carbon-fluorine scalar coupling constants at the lower temperature; however, the triplet observed for C-3 (3JCF = 4.7 Hz) collapses to a doublet (3JCF = 9.5 Hz) at -90°C. It is propos

12. Imaging of H217O distribution in the brain of a live rat by using proton-detected 17O MRI
Imaging of H217O has a number of important applications. Mapping the distribution of H217O produced by oxidative metabolism of 17O-enriched oxygen gas may lead to a new method of metabolic functional imaging; regional cerebral blood flow also can be measured by measuring the H217O distribution after the injection of 17O-enriched physiological saline solution
