ABSTRACT The ideal material for a metal bone prosthesis must undergo a gradual corrosion in vivo, without releasing toxic components, while acting as a support and facilitating the growth of bone tissue, until a replacement is completed by the regenerated bone. . Biodegradable magnesium alloys have been studied because of their excellent mechanical propertie

14. Improving the Radiopacity of Calcium Aluminate Cement Based Blends
The radiopacity of CAC-based compositions containing additives (ZnO, Ag and Bi2O3) was evaluated by optical density measurements, cold crushing strength, apparent porosity, pore size distribution, in vitro apatite-formation ability (bioactivity) and cell viability. The bioactivity was assessed via pH and calcium concentration measurements in simulated body f

16. Effect of rewetting solutions on micropush-out dentin bond strength of new bioceramic endodontic material
Abstract To evaluate the influence of rewetting solutions on bond strength to root dentin of conventional gutta-percha (GP) or niobium phosphate glass-based gutta-percha (GNb) associated with a bioceramic sealer. The root canals of 80 human mandibular premolars were prepared using nickel-titanium instruments and irrigation with sodium hypochlorite and EDTA.

ABSTRACT In this work the effect of the electrodeposition of calcium phosphate on TiO2 nanostructures was evaluated. For that, TiO2 nanostructures were developed in a solution of NH4F and NH4H2PO4 on Ti6Al4V substrates and subsequent cathodic electrodeposition was performed using Ca(NO3)2 and (NH4)2HPO4 as electrolyte. The surface morphology was observed by

19. Bond Strength of a Bisphenol-A-Free Fissure Sealant With and Without Adhesive Layer under Conditions of Saliva Contamination

22. Characterization of Calcium Aluminate Cement Phases when in Contact with Simulated Body Fluid
Recent studies involving the use of calcium aluminate cement (CAC) as a biomaterial are based on commercial products. Improvements can be attained by investigating the properties of their crystalline phases in order to better design the material's composition. Therefore, calcium aluminate phase samples immersed in simulated body fluid (SBF) solutions prepare

24. The Electrochemical Behavior of the NiTi Alloy in Different Simulated Body Fluids
In order to improve the NiTi alloy biocompatibility, surface treatments become very important. Nevertheless, researchers use different solutions to simulate the body fluids in electrochemical assays, and the correlation between the obtained results is difficult and might not even be possible. The present paper evaluated the electrochemical behavior of polish
