1. FUZZY MODELING FOR RAPID COOLING OF TABLE GRAPES IN DIFFERENT PLASTIC FILM BAGS
ABSTRACT Rapid cooling is necessary to remove heat from fruit; however, it directly affects the water loss of grapes under certain conditions. Fuzzy logic is an important theory for analyzing results as it simplifies the assimilation of the phenomena through refined adjustments, allowing the prediction of the weight loss of fruits in relation to rapid coolin

2. Quantification of Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), and Nitrous Oxide (N2O) Using Near Infrared Spectroscopy and Multivariate Calibration in High Humidity Levels
In this work we developed a promising analytical method combining Fourier transform near-infrared (FT-NIR) spectroscopic technique and first-order multivariate calibration using partial least-squares (PLS) model to simultaneously quantify the main greenhouse gases (GHG’s): methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrous oxide (N2O) and water vapor (H2O). 3. Radiation Balance and Partitioning of Latent and Sensible Heat Fluxes Over a Lime Orchard in Eastern Amazon
Abstract We investigate the balance of radiation and energy over a lime orchard in Eastern Amazon and how it relates to environmental conditions. We found that lime trees aged between 6 and 7 years old reflect 11.0% to 14.5% of incoming shortwave radiation, and the latent heat flux corresponds to 57.6% and 66.6% of the daily net radiation in the dry season (

4. Quality changes of acerola fruit harvested at different maturity stages and exposed to external ethylene
ABSTRACT Although acerola (Malpighia emarginata D.C.) has been suggested to be a climacteric fruit, little is known about its sensitivity to exogenous ethylene. The objective of the study was to evaluate the quality changes of acerola fruit at two harvest maturity stages in response to external ethylene application. ‘Flor Branca’ and ‘Junko’ acerolas

5. Postharvest ascorbic acid application maintained physiological and antioxidant responses of Guava (Psidium guajava L.) at ambient storage
Abstract Guava (Psidium guajava) is a highly perishable fruit with a short shelf life as physico-chemical changes occur continuously and rapidly after harvest leading to heavy postharvest losses. This experiment was laid down to unravel the effects of ascorbic acid (AA) on ripened guava fruits to improve its shelf life and quality. Four different concentrati

6. Suitable weather condition frequency for fungicide soybean application in Tangará da Serra, Mato Grosso, Brazil
ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to model the decendial and hourly variability of meteorological variables, namely air temperature, relative air humidity and wind speed, in the Tangará da Serra region, Mato Grosso, Brazil, to determine the best schedules for fungicide applications to soybean crops. Hourly weather data between 2004 and 2017 from the Tangar

7. FUZZY LOGIC MODELING OF THE OCULAR TEMPERATURE OF CATTLE IN THERMAL STRESS CONDITIONS
ABSTRACT This study proposes a fuzzy logic model capable of predicting the ocular temperature (OT) of beef cattle by means of infrared thermography. The goal of this study is to establish a methodology for making decisions related to animal welfare. The experiment was carried out at a commercial beef production farm, located in the south of Minas Gerais stat

8. Variability in the shelf life of table grapes from same batch when exposed under different ambient air conditions
Abstract This study aimed to evaluate the effect of the variability in ambient air conditions (temperature and relative humidity) and periods of exposure on the same batch of table grapes in the first stages of the fruit supply chain (harvesting, processing and storage prior to commercialization), in order to predict their dynamic shelf life. To estimate the

10. Difference and characteristics of anthocyanin from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot cultivated at five regions in Xinjiang
Abstract Anthocyanin plays an important role in wine color and quality. The anthocyanin concentration in grapes depends on the variety and is influenced by environmental factors, such as temperature, sunlight, soil, and grapevine practice. In this study, the anthocyanin profiles of two varieties, namely Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, from five regions (11 pl

11. THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF WHITE BEAN GRAINS FOR DIFFERENT EQUILIBRIUM WATER CONTENTS
ABSTRACT In drying processes and in the storage of agricultural products, the study of thermodynamic properties is indispensable in the search for solutions to issues of stability and optimization of the conditions of agro-industrial processes. The aim of this work was to determine hygroscopic equilibrium isotherms and study the thermodynamic properties of w

12. EFFECT OF THE MIST MICRO-SPRAY TIME ON PHOTOSYNTHETIC SPATIAL HETEROGENEITY OF GRAPE CANOPY
ABSTRACT In grape, high temperatures and low humidity prolong midday depression of foliar photosynthesis and dramatically reduce fruit yield. In this study, we explored the effects of various mist micro-spray treatments on grape photosynthesis at a test site in Shanshan County (N, 42.91°; E, 90.30°), Turpan, Xinjiang, China. We tested four different mist m
