3. Catalysts Derived from Thermal Treatments of Hydrocalumite-Type Compounds: Synthesis and Application in Transesterification Reactions
Catalyst performance is a relevant factor in biodiesel production because it can affect the efficiency of the process. This work provides a study of the performance of heterogeneous catalysts for biodiesel production derived from thermal-treated hydrocalumite-type compounds. This work aimed to synthesize and characterize hydrocalumite-type compounds intercal

4. Cucurbit Powdery Mildew Race Identification by Triplet-Septet and Disease Progress Estimation
ABSTRACT The Triplet-Septet (TS) set of melon cucurbit powdery mildew (CPM) race differentials (CPMRD) was established to provide an international means for objective and uniform identification and designation on CPM races. The Area Under Disease Progress Stairs (AUDPS) method for disease progress estimation was derived from the Area Under Disease Progress C

5. Bimetallic Au-Pd/α-MoO3 Catalyst with High Oxygen Vacancies for Selective Oxidation of Cinnamyl Alcohol
Supported Au-Pd nanoparticles (NPs) have been extensively studied in alcohol oxidation reactions. However, few studies use reducible metal oxides as support, which can activate oxygen molecules and boost the selectivity of the reaction. In this work, Au-Pd NPs were supported on α-MoO3 and evaluated in the selective oxidation of cinnamyl alcohol without solv

6. Characterization and variability of strains of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. passiflorae from the state of Pará, Brazil
ABSTRACT Bacterial spot, caused by Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. passiflorae, is a disease that has limited the cultivation of passionfruit in various orchards in Brazil. The objective of this work is to characterize and evaluate the variability of 29 strains of X. axonopodis pv. passiflorae from different municipalities producing yellow passionfruit in the sta

8. Sustainable and Reusable Sulfonic Acid-Functionalized Task-Specific Ionic Liquid Catalysts for Multicomponent Reactions. A Review
Improvements in Sustainable Organic Synthesis are usually related to the investigation of less hazardous, non-corrosive and renewable materials, as well as waste prevention, energy efficiency, solvent-free reactions, and the development of efficient reusable catalysts. In this context, multicomponent reactions emerged as important strategies for the rapid an

12. Household Infrared Technology as an Energy-Efficient Approach to Achieve C-Cπ Bond Construction Reactions
We examined the ability of short-wave infrared (IR) light in the λ1.5-3.0 μm region of the infrared emission spectrum to accomplish C-Cπ bond construction reaction between π-excessive azaheteroaromatic and different carbonyl substrates supported on a bentonitic clay catalyst in solventless condition via a three-component condensation reaction.
