1. Development of a large-scale rainfall simulator for urban hydrology research

2. AVALIAÇÃO DE METAIS POTENCIALMENTE TÓXICOS EM CHORUME PROVENIENTE DE ÁREA DE DEPOSIÇÃO DE RESÍDUOS SÓLIDOS EM BELÉM - PARÁ
The formation of solid waste is a global challenge regarding environmental preservation. Due to the lifestyle of modern society, which aims to improve practicality, new products are constantly being released in the market and increasing the formation of waste. The decomposition of waste from various origins produces a dark liquid named leachate, which presen

3. Radiation Balance and Partitioning of Latent and Sensible Heat Fluxes Over a Lime Orchard in Eastern Amazon
Abstract We investigate the balance of radiation and energy over a lime orchard in Eastern Amazon and how it relates to environmental conditions. We found that lime trees aged between 6 and 7 years old reflect 11.0% to 14.5% of incoming shortwave radiation, and the latent heat flux corresponds to 57.6% and 66.6% of the daily net radiation in the dry season (

5. Analysis of Wet Antenna Losses on 11.843 GHz Slant Path in Nigeria and Comparison with Some Tropical Climates
Abstract The amount of water deposits on the receiving dish antenna can cause additional losses and consequently contaminate the actual slant-path attenuation. Only a few research works have been reported in the literature on the measurement of wet antenna attenuation (WAA) and the technique(s) of extracting the losses from the total attenuation in tropical

6. Development of Intensity-Duration-Frequency Curves of Intense Rainfall With Emphasis on the Behavior of the Upper Tail of the Distribution

7. Variation in bark water content in three Amazonian species in response to rainfall seasonality

8. Spatial Interpolation Techniques to Map Rainfall in Southeast Brazil

9. DAILY RAINFALL DISAGGREGATION COEFFICIENTS FOR THE DOCE RIVER BASIN, BRAZIL: REGIONAL APPLICABILITY AND THE RETURN PERIOD INFLUENCE
ABSTRACT Alternative methods to the intensity-duration-frequency equations have been used for intense rainfall study in places with no pluviographic data. A pioneering study, by CETESB (1986), established rainfall disaggregation coefficients for Brazil; however, the use of these coefficients take into account neither the rainfall characteristics of the inter

10. TIME SERIES TRENDS OF STREAMFLOW AND RAINFALL IN THE SANTO ANTÔNIO RIVER BASIN, BRAZIL
ABSTRACT Detecting trends in streamflow and rainfall series can have great significance for proper water resource management. Thus, the objective of this study was to analyze the trends of historical streamflow and rainfall series using nonparametric statistical tests. A historical series of pluviometric and fluviometric gauges, which belong to the hydromete

11. TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY OF USING A VARIABLE-FREQUENCY DRIVE IN MICRO-IRRIGATION SYSTEMS
ABSTRACT Irrigation is essential for the development of crops in regions with scarcity or irregular rainfall distribution, enabling high productivity. However, the use of water resources and electrical energy leads to a concern with irrigation efficiency. Pressure demand varies during the operations of irrigation systems and the appropriate pressure can be r
