1. Measurements of Medium Wave HD Radio Reception in a Dense Urban Region
Abstract This paper presents the results of measurements of medium wave received field strength, HD Radio audio quality and maximum coverage distances in a dense urban region. Analog AM and digital HD Radio signals broadcasting the same content were simultaneously transmitted in São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil. The received signal intensity and the re

2. Caracterização experimental da rádio-propagação no interior de edifícios. / Experimental characterization of the indoor radio propagation.

3. Electron Cyclotron Emission in the TCABR Tokamak: An Experimental Study. / "Emissão Eletrociclotrônica no Tokamak TCABR: Um Estudo Experimental"
In this work, an experimental study of the Electron Cyclotron Emission (ECE) in the TCABR Tokamak, is described. An ECE sweeping heterodyne radiometer, operating in the 50-85 GHz frequency range, was installed, calibrated and used to detect ECE radiation in the second harmonic extraordinary mode from thermal plasma discharges. The noise temperature, amplitud

4. Results of localized Alfvén wave heating in TCABR
Using two dimensional numerical codes, we show that the direct electron heating found with electron cyclotron emission (ECE) radiometry is related to local Alfvén wave resonances in Tokamak Chauffage Alfvén Brésilean (TCABR) plasmas. The m/N =1/2, 0/2 and 0/3 modes are dominant in the observed wave heating, due to Alfvén wave continuum absorption. In par
