3. Open charm tomography of cold and hot nuclear matter
We identify the nuclear effects that modify the cross sections for open heavy flavor production in proton-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions. In p+A reactions, we calculate and resum the coherent nuclear-enhanced power corrections from the final-state parton scattering in the medium. We find that single and double inclusive open charm production can be s

4. Fractal propagators in QED and QCD and implications for the problem of confinement
We show that QED radiative corrections change the propagator of a charged Dirac particle so that it acquires a fractional anomalous exponent connected with the fine structure constant. The result is a nonlocal object which represents a particle with a roughened trajectory whose fractal dimension can be calculated. This represents a significant shift from the

5. Remarks on Lorentz and CPT violation in field theory
In this brief review we explicitly calculate the radiative corrections to the Chern-Simons-like term in the cases of zero and finite temperature, and in the gravity theory. Our results are obtained under the general guidance of dimensional regularization.

6. Modelos Efetivos para o Elétron / Effective Models for the Electron
We present two models for the electron in classical electrodynamics, which include some effects from quantum electrodynamics. In the first model, the electron is treated as an extended particle owing to the high-frequency oscillations (Zitterbewegung) of its electrical charge. We show that this model predicts correctly the magnitude of the electron spin and
