1. Synthesis and Molecular Modeling Study of Two Bromo-Dimethoxybenzaldehydes
This work describes the synthesis, molecular structure, and packaging of the compounds 6-bromo-2,3-dimethoxybenzaldehyde (6-BRB) and 5-bromo-2,3-dimethoxybenzaldehyde (5 BRB). Characterization in the solid-state was carried out by X-ray diffraction, and the analysis of the interactions was described by the Hirshfeld surface, which helps in understanding the

2. Spatial distribution of triatomine bugs in a Chagas disease endemic region in Brazil
Abstract INTRODUCTION: Trypanosoma cruzi is the etiological agent of Chagas disease (CD), a zoonotic infection transmitted by triatomine bug vectors to human beings. Although the story of this parasitic infection was born in Brazil and here this has made major step forward information, the same cannot be said about the actual distribution of the triatomine

3. The normalization of wave functions of the continuous spectrum
Abstract The continuous spectrum of a quantum mechanical (QM) system contains important information on the system. However, the normalization of wave functions of the continuous spectrum is often difficult and therefore is often omitted from the books on QM. We discuss this problem and show how we can overcome this problem technically, with some examples.

4. Mapping of equipotential surfaces using the free Quantum Geographic Information System software
Abstract In this work, we report the mapping of electrical equipotential lines (1D) and equipotential surfaces (3D) using the free Quantum Geographic information system (QGIS) software. For this purpose, experiments taking into account, four different electrical configurations were performed on physics classes of undergraduate students, using two conductors

5. DICAS SOBRE A CONSTRUÇÃO DO ESPAÇO ATIVO EM CÁLCULOS MULTICONFIGURACIONAIS: UM ESTUDO DE CASOS
The choice of the active space is a crucial step for a successful multiconfigurational quantum chemical calculation. In this work, hints are provided on how to choose the right active space, illustrating each step with real calculations. The examples can be reproduced by following the input files included in the Supporting Information and employing the fr

6. Información clásica e información cuántica: ¿dos tipos de información?
The aim of this article is to offer a conceptual analysis of the notion of information, on the basis of the way in which it is defined by the theories of Claude Shannon and of Benjamin Schumacher. Against the position according to which there are two kinds of information of different natures, a classical information and a quantum information (defined by the

7. The Correlation Between Electronic Structure and Antimalarial Activity of Tetrahydropyridines
In this study, correlations between electronic structure and the antimalarial activities reported for a group of 21 tetrahydropyridines were evaluated by multivariate methods. Simple and multiple linear regressions, principal component analyses, and linear discriminant analyses were employed to evaluate possible correlations between quantum-mechanical descri

8. Algoritmo de escalonamento DRR com quantum adaptativo para o tráfego downlink de redes IEEE 802.16j / DRR adaptive quantum scheduling algorithm for downlink traffic of IEEE 802.16j networks
IEEE 802.16j networks provide, through the Relay Station (RS), improvements with regard to previous specifications of WiMAX in terms of increased coverage area, reduction of deployment costs due to low cost of RS compared to a Base Station (BS) and system average throughput increase. Its main purpose is to meet demands for wireless broadband access at lower

10. Estimating reaction constants by ab initio molecular modeling: a study on the oxidation of phenol to catechol and hydroquinone in advanced oxidation processes
Molecular modeling is growing as a research tool in Chemical Engineering studies, as can be seen by a simple research on the latest publications in the field. Molecular investigations retrieve information on properties often accessible only by expensive and time-consuming experimental techniques, such as those involved in the study of radical-based chain rea

11. Complexidade de estados quânticos: o papel do entrelaçamento. / Quantum state complexity: the role of entanglement.

12. Criptografia quântica com estados comprimidos da luz / Quantum cryptography with squeezed coherent states of light
