1. New copolymer of acrylamide with allyl methacrylate and its capacity for the removal of azo dyes
The copolymerization reactions of Acrylamide (AA) with the different mole ratios of allyl methacrylate (AMA) such as 25/75, 50/50 and 75/25 were studied by radical polymerization under argon atmosphere using 2,2’-Azobis (isobutyronitri1e) (AIBN) as initiator. The copolymers were characterized with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and thermogr

2. Chemical modification of chitosan in the absence of solvent for diclofenac sodium removal: pH and kinetics studies
Chitosan was modified with acetylacetone and ethylenediamine in the absence of solvent. The new biopolymer obtained from the modification was characterized by elemental analysis and NMR 13C and applied in the removal of diclofenac sodium aqueous solution varying the pH and time. Through elemental analysis was possible to verify a decreasing in C/N relation a

3. SÍNTESE E CARACTERIZAÇÃO DE HÍBRIDOS À BASE DE ALGINATO DE SÓDIO E ESCAMAS DE PEIXE PARA USO NA REMOÇÃO DE ESPÉCIES POLUENTES / SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF HYBRIDS BASED SODIUM ALGINATE AND FISH SCALES FOR USE IN REMOVAL OF POLLUTANT SPECIES
With the purpose to develop environmentally appropriate materials, scales of the Piau fish and sodium alginate were used as precursor materials for the preparation of new ecomaterials which were used in the removal of the herbicide Paraquat and ions Co(II) and Cu(II). The hybrid material obtained from the reaction between the polysaccharide and scales was de

4. Polimerização de estireno via radical livre mediada por nitroxidos usando iniciador trifuncional / Styrene polimerization via free radical mediated by nitroxides using trifunctional initiator
Controlled free radical polymerization, also known as "pseudo-living radical polymerization" or "Living Free Radical Polymerization" (LFRP) has received increasing attention as a technique for the production of polymers with micro structure highly controlled. In particular, narrow molecular weight distributions, are obtained with polidispersidade very close

5. AdsorÃÃo dos corantes reativos azul 5G e azul turquesa QG em carvÃo ativado comercial / Adsorption of reactive dyes 5G and turquoise QG onto commercial activated coal
The textile industries understand one of the largest of the world now in production terms and number of generated jobs. They are characterized by requesting great amounts of water, coloring and chemical products used along a complex productive chain. Besides the enormous consumption of water, those industries generate effluent composed by organic and complex

6. Grupos pseudo-livres, primos seguros e criptografia RSA
When a cryptographic scheme is defined over a group, encrypting messages is equivalent to assigning values in this group to variables of some equation, whereas breaking this scheme is âto discoverâ which values were assigned to those variables. Therefore, the security of such schemes is connected to the hardness to solve equations over groups. The use of f

7. Kinetics of opiate receptor inactivation by sulfhydryl reagents: evidence for conformational change in presence of sodium ions.
The role of SH groups in opiate-receptor interactions has been further examined. In activation by N-ethylmaleimide of sterospecific opiate binding by rat brain membrane fractions follows pseudo-first order kinetics and exhibits strong temperature dependence. The kinetics indicate that alkylation of a single SH group suffices to block opiate binding. Consider
