13. Gross hypertrophic pulmonary osteoarthropathy in a 7-year-old child
Hypertrophic pulmonary osteoarthropathy in children is rare and usually associated with an underlying condition. A case of hypertrophic pulmonary osteoarthropathy secondary to a chronic post-measles lung abscess is presented. There was good radiological evidence of an advanced degree of periosteal reaction. This became much more obvious during an exacerbatio

14. Hypertrophic osteoarthropathy following aortic surgery.
Unilateral lower extremity hypertrophic osteoarthropathy may be the initial symptom of an infected aortic graft. Knowledge of this uncommon association should lead to early and accurate diagnosis and appropriate surgical management, thus avoiding the development of aortoenteric fistula, a complication that still carries a significant risk of mortality.

15. Temporohyoid osteoarthropathy and unilateral facial nerve paralysis in a horse
A 13-year-old broodmare was referred for weight loss and left facial nerve paralysis. Bilateral temporohyoid osteoarthropathy was diagnosed based on proliferation of the temporohyoid joints and stylohyoid bones on radiographs and guttural pouch endoscopy. The left side was more severely affected. Treatment resulted in little or no improvement.

16. Role of immune complexes in hypertrophic osteoarthropathy and nonmetastatic polyarthritis.
Three case histories of patients with histologically proved malignant disease and an associated nonmetastatic symmetrical polyarthropathy are analysed. No evidence of a pathogenetic role for immune complexes was found in hypertrophic osteoarthropathy, whereas there is considerable evidence suggesting that the nonmetastatic polyarthritis associated with malig

19. Comparison of two yttrium-90 regimens in inflammatory and osteoarthropathies.
Two yttrium-90 (90Y) radiosynovectomy procedures were compared. One procedure, performed at the Royal Perth Rehabilitation Hospital (RPRH) required a shorter immobilisation time than that performed at the Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital (SCGH). There were no significant differences in outcome between the two procedures for the groups with inflammatory and oste
