1. Effects of subchronic inhalation exposure to an organophosphorus insecticide compound containing dichlorvos on wistar rats’ otoacoustic emissions

2. Occurrence of Pesticides Associated to Atmospheric Aerosols: Hazard and Cancer Risk Assessments
Since the 1950s, pesticides have been used in agriculture. The increase in their consumption has been observed in recent years. In this work, it was determined the concentration of pesticides in the atmosphere of São Paulo and Piracicaba cities (sugarcane plantation site) and the hazard quotients and cancer risk caused by inhalation of these compounds were

3. Separation of gadolinium and europium from chloride media by the solvent extraction technique
Abstract Obtaining rare earth elements (REE) is a complicated task, due mainly to the difficulty of separating and purifying them. Solvent extraction is the most widely used technique for separating REE, and the most common extractants used are organophosphorus acids. The low selectivity of this technique leads to the need for a high number of extraction cel

4. Persistence of insecticides used in peach orchards to larvae and adults of the predator Chrysoperla externa (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae)
Semanalmen

5. Comparative study on the biodegradation of chlorpyrifos-methyl by Bacillus megaterium CM-Z19 and Pseudomonas syringae CM-Z6
Abstract: The strains CM-Z19 and CM-Z6, which are capable of highly degrading chlorpyrifos-methyl, were isolated from soil. They were identified as Bacillus megaterium CM-Z19 and Pseudomonas syringae CM-Z6, respectively, based on the 16S rRNA and an analysis of their morphological, physiological and biochemical characteristics. The strain CM-Z19 showed 92.6%

6. One-Pot Synthesis of NEMP, a VX Surrogate, and Reactivation of NEMP-Inhibited Electrophorus Eel Acetylcholinesterase by Current Antidotes
The use of nerve agents, organophosphorus compounds which irreversibly inhibit acetylcholinesterase, in conflicts and terrorism has gained renewed geopolitical status in recent years. As no “universal antidote” has ever been produced, the development of antidotes to reactivate enzyme is clearly warranted. Given the fact that nerve agents are restricted s

8. SEPARATION OF ZINC FROM MANGANESE BY SOLVENT EXTRACTION FROM ACIDIC LEACHATES OF SPENT ZINC-MnO2 DRY CELLS USING NEUTRAL ORGANOPHOSPHORUS EXTRACTANTS
This paper describes a route for recovering manganese and zinc from spent zinc-MnO2 dry cells via acid leaching using sulfuric or hydrochloric acids as leachants. Hydrogen peroxide was added as reductant. Experiments were run at 25-40 °C for 1-3 h. Under the best optimal conditions, over 97.5 wt.% of zinc and manganese were leached by both acids. Zn(II) was

10. ORGANOCLORATED AND ORGANOPHOSPHORUS PESTICIDES IN THE PELOTAS RIVER SEDIMENT
ABSTRACT Aquatic sediments are widely used for the evaluation of anthropogenic contamination due to their ability to adsorb particles and contaminants, making them historical environmental archives. Therefore, the objective was to evaluate the contamination of the Pelotas River sediments, at the border between the states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do S

11. RESIDUE ANALYSIS OF ORGANOCHLORINE AND ORGANOPHOSPHORUS PESTICIDES IN URBAN LAKE SEDIMENTS
ABSTRACT The knowledge of pesticide residual concentrations in the environment is important to understand the threats to the environment and human health, especially when natural resources are used for human consumption. In this context, this study aimed to assess the potential ecological risk and respective sources of sediment contamination by organochlorin

12. Development of Manual Shaking and Ultrasound-Assisted Surfactant-Enhanced Emulsification Microextraction for Analysis of Organophosphorus Pesticides in Aqueous Samples
A novel, rapid and efficient manual shaking and ultrasound-assisted surfactant-enhanced emulsification microextraction (M-UASEME) combined with gas chromatography-flame photometric detection (GC-FPD) was developed for the extraction and determination of eight organophosphorus pesticides (OPPs) in tap water and honey samples. The main parameters that affected
