3. Effect of Track Overlap on the Microstructure and Properties of the CoCrMoSi PTA Coatings
Broadly speaking, the research and design of coatings are generally studied by way of single-track deposits; otherwise, the development of a coated part entails the understanding of how multi-track welding influences the microstructure and properties of the surface. This study evaluated the effect of track overlap on the microstructure and properties of the

4. ANÃLISE DE SISTEMAS DE IMPLANTES DENTÃRIOS EM MANDÃBULAS EDÃNTULAS COM APLICAÃÃO DE CARREGAMENTO IMEDIATO / Study of the systems of dental implantations for edentulous mandibula with immediate load
The present study aimed at obtaining comparative elements among the guided systems of fixed complete denture with 4 osseointegrated implants with immediate loading, considering the importance of understanding the implant project as a process where biomaterials and biomechanics are assessed. The three-dimensional finite element method was used to analyze the

5. An in vitro comparison of nickel and chromium release from brackets
This study aimed at comparing amounts of nickel (Ni) and chromium (Cr) released from brackets from different manufacturers in simulated oral environments. 280 brackets were equally divided into 7 groups according to manufacturer. 6 groups of brackets were stainless steel, and 1 group of brackets was made of a cobalt-chromium alloy with low Ni content (0.5%).

6. Abrasion wear resistance of different artificial teeth opposed to metal and composite antagonists
One of the most important properties of artificial teeth is the abrasion wear resistance, which is determinant in the maintenance of the rehabilitation's occlusal pattern. OBJECTIVES: This in vitro study aims to evaluate the abrasion wear resistance of 7 brands of artificial teeth opposed to two types of antagonists. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Seven groups were p

7. Influence of luting agents on time required for cast post removal by ultrasound: an in vitro study
OBJECTIVE: This in vitro study evaluated the influence of luting agents on ultrasonic vibration time for intraradicular cast post removal. MATERIAL AND METHODS: After endodontic treatment, 30 roots of extracted human canines were embedded in resin cylinders. The post-holes were prepared at 10 mm depth and their impressions were taken using autopolymerizing a

8. Influência dos elementos de liga no intervalo de solidificação do aço inoxidável martensítico CA6NM. / Alloying elements influence on the CA6NM martensitic stainless steel solidification interval.
The influence of alloying elements like Chromium, Nickel, Carbon and Nitrogen on the solidification interval on a CA6NM martensitic stainless steel casting was investigated. This steel class, mainly used on large castings, applies due to the fact that it has very good impact resistance, and satisfactory corrosion properties. Besides that, this stainless stee

10. Evaluation of failure mode of ceramic crowns with and without framework design modification. / Avaliação do modo de falha de coroas cerâmicas com e sem alteração do desenho das infraestruturas
Ceramic crowns have been widely used, however, problems related to brittle fracture of these materials persist, especially in the posterior area. The present study tested the null hypothesis that there were no differences in fatigue resistance related to the framework design as well as to the materials used. One maxillary molar was prepared, reproducing the

11. Retenção de grampos cirucenferenciais associados a retentores intra-radiculares com encaixe era utilizados em overdentures parciais removíveis / Retention clips cirucenferenciais associated with CuAlZn with docking was used in removable partial overdentures
The overdentures can be defined as total or partial removable dentures that cover root or osseo integrated implants rehabilitating the whole dentition. The mechanical retention in the removable partial overdentures (RPOs) is obtained through the use of cast clasps and attachments. This biomechanical principle has a great importance, since is inwardly associa

12. In vitro and in vivo electrochemical studies of nickel-chromium-molybdenum-titanium alloy applied to oral implant suprastructures / Estudos eletroquímicos in vitro e in vivo da liga níquelcromomolibdênio titânio aplicada em supraestruturas de implantes orais
The electrochemical behavior of the nickel-chromium-molybdenum-titanium (Ni-Cr-Mo-Ti) alloy was studied and compared to a gold-platinum-palladium (Au-Pt-Pd) alloy in 0.15 mol.L -1 NaCl medium at 36.5ºC. In vitro studies also involved the electrochemical titanium characterization since these alloys are employed in osseointegrated implant suprastructures. In
