1. Radiation Balance and Partitioning of Latent and Sensible Heat Fluxes Over a Lime Orchard in Eastern Amazon
Abstract We investigate the balance of radiation and energy over a lime orchard in Eastern Amazon and how it relates to environmental conditions. We found that lime trees aged between 6 and 7 years old reflect 11.0% to 14.5% of incoming shortwave radiation, and the latent heat flux corresponds to 57.6% and 66.6% of the daily net radiation in the dry season (

2. Evaluation of OSEB and SEBAL models for energy balance of a crop area in a humid subtropical climate
ABSTRACT This study evaluated the adequacy of the One-Source Energy Balance (OSEB) and Surface Energy Balance Algorithm for Land (SEBAL) models to estimate evapotranspiration in grain growing areas with humid subtropical climate in Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil. The dataset was obtained from a micrometeorological station (Eddy Covariance) and MODIS (Mod

3. Energy balance partitioning and evapotranspiration from irrigated Muskmelon under Semi-Arid Conditions
ABSTRACT The Mossoró-Assu-Baraúna district, Rio Grande do Norte State (RN), is recognized by the intense production of horticulture, mainly muskmelon for export. However, this region is often devastated by intense droughts. Thus, the muskmelon production is predominantly under irrigated condition and, due to constant threat of water resources collapse on t

4. REFERENCE EVAPOTRANSPIRATION FORECASTING BY ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS
ABSTRACT: Evapotranspiration (ET) is the main component of water balance in agricultural systems and the most active variable of the hydrological cycle. In the literature, few studies have used the forecast the day before via Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) for the northern region of São Paulo state, Brazil. Therefore, this aimed to predict the reference

5. TOPOGRAPHIC ASPECTS IN THE SPATIAL AND TEMPORAL DYNAMIC OF NET RADIATION
ABSTRACT: The measurements obtained by remote sensing are influenced by issues related to relief. Based on that, this paper aims to analyze the spatial and temporal dynamics of the net radiation (Rn), considering the influence of topographic parameters on it, in Edgárdia Experimental Farm (FEE). It was used the methodology based on the SEBAL algorithm (Surf

6. Analysis of energy fluxes and vegetation-atmosphere parameters in irrigated and natural ecosystems of semi-arid Brazil.
Knowledge on evapotranspiration is essential in quantifying water use depletion and to allocate scarce water resources to competing uses. Despite that an extensive literature describes the theoretical mechanisms of turbulent water vapour transport above and within crop canopies fewer studies have examined land surface parameters within composite landscapes o

Marandu localizada na região central do cerrado (Planaltina - GO). O estudo foi realizado de 15/11 a 09/12/2001, inicio da esta

8. Medições do saldo de radiação em copas de cafeeiros e limeiras ácidas por sistemas de integração espaço-temporal e estimativas por técnicas de modelagem / Measurements of net radiation of the canopy of coffee and acid lime trees in hedgerows by spatiotemporal integration systems and estimates by modelling techniques
The amount of radiant energy absorbed by the canopy of trees has great application in photosynthesis and transpiration research. Studies of radiation interception by the canopies of an isolated or a sequence of trees in hedgerows have been carried out by a technique which employs moving radiometers around an isolated tree (spherical geometry of measurement)

9. Modelling evapotranspiration for reference crop and acid lime orchard based on regression and artificial neural network tecniques / Modelagem da evapotranspiração de referência e da evapotranspiração de limeira ácida com aplicação de técnicas de regressão e redes neurais artificiais
The main objective of this study was to test artificial neural networks (ANNs) of multilayer perceptron type (MLP) for estimating reference evapotranspiration, diffusive leaf conductance and crop evapotranspiration of a mature and irrigated citrus orchard. The ANNs were trained under conjugate gradient algorithm. The sigmoid and linear activation functions w

10. UTILIZAÇÃO DO ÍNDICE DE ÁREA FOLIAR OBTIDO POR SENSORIAMENTO REMOTO PARA A ESTIMATIVA DA EVAPOTRANSPIRAÇÃO DE REFERÊNCIA NA BACIA DO PRATA
In this work the estimate of evapotranspiration over the region of the Plata Basin, using data of leaf area index obtained from remote sensing, through the MODIS. The method used to obtain the estimated evapotranspiration is known as the Penman-Monteith. This technique uses as well as atmospheric forcing of net radiation, air temperature, relative humidity a

This study aimed to assess and develop a physical mathematical model to estimats the net radiation. For this we used weather data collected from the meteorological station of the Department of Physics and Meteorology of the Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luis de Queiroz" - ESALQ - University of São Paulo - USP, Piracicaba, Brazil, according to the global r

The largest Brazilian area of mangroves is the second in the world and the first of th Americas. The knowledge of interaction this ecosystem with the atmosphere is important, because haven‟t a lots of meteorological papers about this subject, especially by the fact that environmental degradation modifies the ecosystem microclimate. Therefore, the study
