25. Antibacterial activity of essential oils encapsulated in chitosan nanoparticles
Abstract In this study, cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), thyme (Thymus vulgaris) and Schinus molle essential oils (at 125, 250 and 500 µg/mL) were encapsulated in chitosan nanoparticles by ionotropic gelation. Their antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Enterococcus sp., Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Klebsiella pneumoniae (BLEE +)

26. MECHANICAL AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF WOOD/POLYETHYLENE COMPOSITE REINFORCED WITH TIO2 NANOPARTICLES
ABSTRACT Wood plastic composite was fabricated using high density polyethylene and pine wood fiber. The effect of addition of TiO2 nanoparticles at different weight fractions (0%, 1%, 3%, and 5%) on some properties of the composite was examined. The experimental composites were tested for bending strength, tensile strength, Izod impact strength, thickness sw

32. Self-Assembled Nanoparticles of Diruthenium(II,III)-Ibuprofen Anticancer Metallodrug
The diruthenium(II,III)-ibuprofen (RuIbp) metallodrug shows anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo. The encapsulation into lipid nanoparticles enhanced the efficacy in glioblastoma, breast and prostate cancer cells. Here we report data for RuIbp hydrophobicity, solubility in alcohol/water, and behavior in 1-5% ethanol/water and ethanol/cell culture medium.
