1. Densidade de energia e força de radiação sobre fronteiras em movimento para estados arbitrários do campo: aplicação ao estado coerente / Density of energy and radiation force on borders in movement for arbitrary states of the field: application to the coherent state

3. Poliovirus Adsorption by 34 Minerals and Soils
The adsorption of radiolabeled infectious poliovirus type 2 by 34 well-defined soils and mineral substrates was analyzed in a synthetic freshwater medium containing 1 mM CaCl2 and 1.25 mM NaHCO3 at pH 7. In a model system, adsorption of poliovirus by Ottawa sand was rapid and reached equilibrium within 1 h at 4°C. Near saturation, the adsorption could be de

4. Calcium current activation kinetics in neurones of the snail Lymnaea stagnalis.
Both the activation kinetics and the magnitude of the Ca current in Lymnaea are strongly dependent on temperature. The Q10 for the reciprocal of the activation time constant is 4.9 +/- 0.2 and the Q10 for the maximum current is 2.3 +/- 0.1. By lowering the temperature to 7-10 degrees C, we have been able to resolve the Ca tail currents. The block of Ca curre

5. Ionized calcium in normal serum, ultrafiltrates, and whole blood determined by ion-exchange electrodes
Ion-exchange calcium electrodes represent the first practical method for the direct measurement of ionized calcium [Ca++] in biologic fluids. Using both “static” and “flow-through” electrodes, serum [Ca++] was within a rather narrow range: 0.94-1.33 mmoles/liter (mean, 1.14 mmoles/liter). Within a given individual, [Ca++] varied only about 6% over a
