1. Synthesis and characterization of α-SnWO4 powders obtained by microwave-assisted hydrothermal method
Abstract The structural, morphological, and optical properties of α-SnWO4 synthesized by microwave-assisted hydrothermal method at 150 °C for different times were investigated. XRD revealed the formation of the orthorhombic phase, without the presence of a secondary phase. The sample processed for 64 min showed a reduction in unit cell volume, suggesting a

2. Microwave Assisted Ultra-Fast Method to Synthesize Carbonate-Phosphates, Na3MCO3PO4 (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni) - Relevant Materials Applied in Sodium-Ion Batteries
Although largely used in mobiles and electric vehicles applications, insertion batteries based on Li-ion technology are high-cost devices. These applications require high-performance energy storage systems with high-energy and high-power densities, which are better attained by Li-ion technology. However, stationary applications such as power plants and unint

3. Dielectric Behavior of α-Ag2WO4 and its Huge Dielectric Loss Tangent
The microwave-assisted hydrothermal method was used to obtain α-Ag2WO4. Rietveld refinement confirmed that α-Ag2WO4 is stable in the orthorhombic phase, without secondary phase. However, field-effect scanning electron microscope analysis showed that α-Ag2WO4 nanorods surfaces contain silver nanoparticles, confirmed by the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy

4. Effect of Different Synthesis Methods on the Textural Properties of Calcium Tungstate (CaWO4) and Its Catalytic Properties in the Toluene Oxidation
Calcium tungstate (CaWO4) crystals were prepared by microwave-assisted hydrothermal (MAH) and polymeric precursor methods (PPM). These crystals were structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption, X-ray absorption near edge spectroscopy (XANES) and extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) measurements. The morphology and size of

5. Characterization of ZnAl2O4 Spinel Obtained by Hydrothermal and Microwave Assisted Combustion Method: A Comparative Study
In this work, zinc aluminate spinel was prepared by two methods of directly synthesis (without calcination): microwave assisted combustion and hydrothermal method. The materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and N2-adsorption/desorption isotherms. The XRD patterns confirmed the formation of cubic ZnAl2O4 sp

6. Síntese de BaTIO3 e SrTIO3 pelo método hidrotermal assistido por micro-ondas utilizando anatase como precursor de titânio
In this work barium titanate (BT) and strontium titanate (ST) were prepared by Microwave-Assisted Hydrothermal (MAH) method, using a Ti precursor different from those shown in the literature and various concentrations (1, 3 e 6 mol L-1) of KOH mineralizer. As a titanium precursor, an anatase complex with hydrogen peroxide were used. For the precursors of bar

7. TITANATE NANOTUBES PRODUCED FROM MICROWAVE-ASSISTED HYDROTHERMAL SYNTHESIS: CHARACTERIZATION, ADSORPTION AND PHOTOCATALYTIC ACTIVITY
Abstract A microwave-assisted hydrothermal (MAH) method was employed to synthesize TiO2 nanotubes (TNTs) and these were compared to the conventional hydrothermal (CH) method. The nanotubes were characterized for their crystallinity, morphology, surface area and photocatalytic activity. The TiO2 P25 was used for comparison purposes and efficiently degraded bo

8. Novel Gd(OH)3, GdOOH and Gd2O3 Nanorods: Microwave-Assisted Hydrothermal Synthesis and Optical Properties
We present a study of the controlled synthesis and optical properties of single-crystals Gd(OH)3, GdOOH and Gd2O3 nanorods. In this work, Gd(OH)3 nanorods were synthesized by a simple and fast microwave-assisted hydrothermal method. This process combined with the thermal decomposition oxidation of Gd(OH)3 nanorods as precursors enabled the preparation of sin

9. Hydrothermal Synthesis of Three-dimensional Butterfly-like Ni Architectures as Microwave Absorbers
AbstractThree-dimensional butterfly-like Ni architectures were fabricated by a surfactant-assisted hydrothermal method. The Ni architectures, with lengths of about 20 μm and widths of 4-6 μm, were assembled from tens of Ni nanorods with the averaged diameter of about 200 nm. The Ni nanorods were coated by oxide shells. The saturation magnetization of the N

10. Rapid Preparation of (BiO)2CO3 Nanosheets by Microwave-Assisted Hydrothermal Method with Promising Photocatalytic Activity Under UV-Vis Light
Crystalline (BiO)2CO3 nanosheets were synthesized by a rapid one-step reaction via microwave-assisted hydrothermal method using urea as a morphology mediator and carbon source. The hydrothermal method combined with microwave heating allowed to obtain sheet-like (BiO)2CO3 particles at shorter reaction times when compared to the conventional heating hydrotherm
