1. Interactions between green manure and rock phosphate on corn production in family farms
ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to analyze whether the use of green manures in association with rock phosphate rates can guarantee corn yields to family farmers. An experiment was conducted with six types of green manures: Mucuna cinereum, Crotalaria juncea, Crotalaria ochroleuca, Cajanus cajan, Pennisetum glaucum and a weedy fallow control treatment; and

2. INTERACTIONS BETWEEN GREEN MANURE AND ROCK PHOSPHATE ON SOIL NUTRIENT CYCLING ON FAMILY FARMS

3. GREEN MANURE AND Pochonia chlamydosporia FOR Meloidogyne javanica CONTROL IN SOYBEAN

4. Green manure with fabaceous species in monoculture or intercropped with corn in the organic cultivation of pumpkin in succession

5. GROWTH CHARACTERISTICS OF SHALLOT var. TINOMBO FOLLOWING APPLICATION OF POTASSIUM FERTILIZER AND MANURE

6. Use of rabbit manure in lettuce culture: an alternative option
O exper

7. Growth of pitaya seedlings according to the type of substrate and the frequency of irrigation
ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to evaluate the development of pitaya cuttings in different substrates under different frequencies of irrigation. The experiment was conducted from January to May 2017 in a greenhouse at Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia, Capitao Poço, Pará, Brazil. A completely randomized 3 × 7 factorial design with four rep

8. MATHEMATICAL MODELS FOR ESTIMATING METHANE PRODUCTION IN COVERED LAGOON BIODIGESTERS TREATING PIG MANURE
ABSTRACT Covered lagoon biodigesters (CLB) have been widespread in Brazil in the treatment of pig manure. However, the quantification of biogas production in CLB using mathematical models is still limited and scarce. This study aimed to evaluate and compare six mathematical models—Chen-Hashimoto (Chen, 1983), CETESB (2006), COD Conversion (Chernicharo, 201

9. BIOGAS YIELD AND PRODUCTIVENESS OF SWINE MANURE FOR DIFFERENT REACTOR CONFIGURATIONS
ABSTRACT The progression of the organic loading rate (OLR) up to a certain limit increases biogas production. The limit and operation range vary according to the configuration of the reactor and are associated with other variables that generate different results with respect to biogas yield (BY) and biogas productiveness (BP). The aim of this study was to in

10. Effects of different legume green manures on tropical soil microbiology after corn harvest
ABSTRACT Legume green manure is a popular practice for sustainable agriculture in tropical environments. The use of grain, forage and purely green manure legumes in a subhumid tropical area in Northeast Brazil was investigated to determine the total C and N contents and estimate C-microbial biomass, soil basal respiration, microbial and metabolic quotients,

11. Yield and morphological attributes of bell pepper fruits under biological fertilizers and application times
ABSTRACT Bell pepper (Capsicum annuum) is one of the most consumed vegetables around the world. Balanced fertilization is essential for growing this vegetable. The objective of this study was to evaluate the yield and morphological attributes of bell pepper under doses and times of application of biological fertilizers. Two experiments were carried out with

12. More is not always better: responses of the endemic plant Vellozia nanuzae to additional nutrients
ABSTRACT Soil nutrients are one of the main drivers of plant species composition and distribution, mainly due to the role they play in plant survival and reproductive success. However, the nutritional requirements of plants inhabiting their native ecosystems are still poorly known. This is the case for most species of campo rupestre vegetation, which are fou
