1. MAGNETOMETRIA IN-SITU PARA CARACTERIZAÇÃO DE MATERIAIS ELETRODEPOSITADOS
We have recently made studies of electrodeposits of Co onto graphene attached to different substrates, successfully performed via in-situ magnetization measurements. The magnetic analysis of deposits as a function of time lapse, indicate that Co grows with different magnetic characteristics from the beginning to the end of each run, independent of the substr

3. Comportamento crítico da produção de entropia em modelos com dinâmicas estocásticas competitivas / Critical behavior of entropy production in models with competitive stochastic dynamics
We study kinetic phase transitions and the critical behavior of the entropy production in spin models with nearest neighbor interactions subject to two Glauber dynamics, which simulate two thermal baths at different temperatures. In this way, it is assumed that the system corresponds to a continuous time Markov process which obeys the master equation. Thus,

Amorphous glass-coated microwires are materials with soft magnetic properties suitable for various technological applications, mainly magnetic sensors. One of the outstanding properties of microwires with positive magnetostriction is the magnetic bi-stability, that means, the inversion of the magnetization is done by one magnetic domain wall displacement alo

6. Effect of an columnar defect on vortex configuration in a superconducting mesoscopic sample
In this work we investigate the vortex dynamics in a square mesoscopic superconducting cylinder in the presence of an applied magnetic field parallel to its axis. The rectangular cross-section of the sample is L² and an engineered columnar defect of area d² at the center is taken into account; L = 12ξ(0) for all simulations while d varies discretely from

In this work, we investigated magnetic nanoparticles based on copper ferrite, with mean sizes ranging between 3,5 nm e 10,7 nm. Such nanomaterials are chemically synthesized by hydrothermal coprecipitation and allow elaborating magnetic nanocolloids in aqueous and acidic medium thanks to a core-shell strategy that prevent the nanoparticles from dissolution.

Although a vortex state, in type II superconductors, has been anticipated more than 50 years ago, a great deal of theoretical and experimental efforts has still been done in an attempt to investigate how the dynamics of these structures depends on external excitations and on the inherent properties of the underlying superconducting material, such as inhomoge

In the present thesis, we study theoretically the equilibrium properties and dynamics of the vortex matter in two classes of nanostructured superconductors: (i) mesoscopic samples, with dimensions comparable with the penetration depth; and (ii) films with periodic array of artificial traps. In both cases, the vortex lattice symmetry is strongly dependent on

10. Soliton dynamics of magnetization driven by a magnetic field in uniaxial anisotropic ferromagnet
We study the nonlinear magnetic excitation in an anisotropic ferromagnet with a magnetic field. In the long wave approximation, the Landau-Lifschitz equation with easy axis anisotropy is transformed into the nonlinear Schrödinger type. By means of a straightforward Darboux transformation we obtain the one- and two-soliton solutions of uniaxial anisotropic f

11. Dynamic behavior of cluster observables for the 2d Ising model
We present results of our numerical study of the critical dynamics of percolation observables for the two-dimensional Ising model. We consider the (Monte Carlo) short-time evolution of the system with small initial magnetization and heat-bath dynamics. We find qualitatively different dynamic behaviors for the magnetization M and for omega, the so-called stre

12. Contribution of the spin current to the damping of the magnetic moment precession of Fe impurities in Pd
We investigate the spin dynamics of a magnetic adatom on a non-magnetic surface with strong Stoner enhancement. We find a strong damping of the adatom's magnetization precession and a large shift of the resonance frequency from its bare value. Stoner enhancement in the substrate reduces the damping. We explore the damping dependence on features of the electr
