1. The sedimentary record of wet and dry eolian systems in the Cretaceous of Southeast Brazil: stratigraphic and paleogeographic significance
Abstract Sedimentologic and stratigraphic studies of paleo-deserts from the Brazilian Cretaceous are of great potential to understand the paleoclimate and paleogeography of Gondwana during its final rifting stage. Herein, we describe and discuss two depositional units characterized by two distinct eolian systems that are bounded by a long-lived unconformity.

2. A new toothless pterosaur (Pterodactyloidea) from Southern Brazil with insights into the paleoecology of a Cretaceous desert
Abstract Abstract: The first pterosaur bone bed from Brazil was reported in 2014 at the outskirts of the town Cruzeiro do Oeste, Paraná State, in the Southern region of the country. Here named 'cemitério dos pterossauros' site, these outcrops were referred to the Goio-Erê Formation (Turonian-Campanian) of the Caiuá Group (Bauru Basin) and revealed the pr

3. Baalsaurus mansillai gen. et sp. nov. a new titanosaurian sauropod (Late Cretaceous) from Neuquén, Patagonia, Argentina
Abstract We describe a dentary of a new titanosaur sauropod, Baalsaurus mansillai, gen. et sp. nov. from the Late Cretaceous of Patagonia, Argentina. The material comes from the Portezuelo Formation, Neuquén Group. Titanosaur sauropods lower jaws are scarce and only nine taxa with dentaries have been described. There are two types of morphology in titanosau

4. New data on the Late Cretaceous lizard Dicothodon bajaensis (Squamata, Borioteiioidea) from Baja California, Mexico reveals an unusual tooth replacement pattern in squamates
Abstract Borioteiioids comprise an extinct family of squamates that inhabited the Northern Hemisphere during the Cretaceous and were characterized by varying patterns of tooth replacement and dental morphology. Understanding the evolution of these tooth replacement patterns has, however, been largely hampered by an extremely fragmentary fossil record. Here w

5. The Cogollo Group and the oceanic anoxic events 1a and 1b, Maracaibo basin, Venezuela
ABSTRACTCarbonates of Cogollo Group (Apón, Lisure and Maraca formations) constitute the broader calcareous platform system originated during Aptian and Albian of Cretaceous in north-western South America, Maracaibo Basin, Venezuela. On the shallow shelf, a variety of calcareous sedimentary facies were deposited during marine transgressive and regressive cyc

6. Mecanismos deposicionais e processos pedogenéticos em lençóis de areia eólica : a Formação Marília, Neocretáceo da Bacia Bauru, Brasil, e La Salina, Holoceno da Bacia Tulum, Argentina / Depositional mechanisms and pedogenetic processes in eolian sand sheets : The Marília Formation (Late Cretaceous of the Bauru Basin, Brazil) and La Salina (Holocene of the Tulum Basin, Argentina)

7. A new small deinonychosaur (Dinosauria: Theropoda) from the Late Cretaceous of Patagônia, Argentina

9. Tectônica e sedimentação na Bacia do Camaquã Central (RS): exemplos do Grupo Guaritas e do Grupo Santa Bárbara / Tectonics and sedimentation in Central Camaquã Basin: the Guaritas Group and the Santa Bárbara Group
The relationship between tectonics and sedimentation plays a primordial role in the understanding of sedimentary successions. On the other hand, the study of pre-Silurian fluvial deposits represents a challenge due to the lack of interaction between land plants and river systems which characterizes post-Silurian environments. The Camaquã Basin (Ediacaran to

The Santos basin is located the continental southern margin of Brazil. One hundred twenty two cutting samples recovered from three wells in Santos basin, two located in the shelf, 1- SPS-5A and 1-SPS-9, and one in slope, 1-SCS-9A. Relative dating based on microfossils, the lower portions of the wells 1-SPS-5A, 1-SCS-9A and 1-SPS-9 are attributed to the Conia

This study relates to the spongillites deposits that occurs in shallow ponds on a karstic planation surface developed on rocks of the Neoproterozoic São Francisco Supergroup. Cenozoic siliciclastics sediments are related to this surface and Mesozoic Areado Group rocks occur adjacent to the deposits. Field studies associated with the analysis of multispectra

Morphological description and phylogenetical position of a Baurusuchidae (Crocodyliformes, Mesoeucrocodylia) from Late Cretaceous of Bauru Basin, General Salgado area (São Paulo state)
The area of General Salgado (Adamantina Formation, Bauru Basin) is extremely rich in vertebrate fossils. This richeness is evident with the presence of several records of Cretaceous crocodiliforms. Among them, an articulated skeleton of a new Baurusuchidae was found, composed by parts of the cranium and a practically complete post-cranium. Characters that pl
